Guide to using your custom-fit Ba'gua

Calm and Peaceful Room
Your surroundings impact your well-being

The Ba'gua reveals where to fix problems

Your home is designed to contain your story. The Ba'gua is your table of contents. Individual room decor provides the narrative.

Once you've mapped your floor plan to the Ba'gua, visit each room or area and ask these questions:

  1. Do I like this room?
  2. How do I feel when I'm in this space?
  3. Is this room cluttered and stressful for me?
  4. Is this room neglected, empty or used as a junk room?
  5. Does this room need repairs or updates to function well?

Now ask yourself how accurately your answers reflect the condition of that area of your life

Do three things NOW to improve circumstances

Feng Shui takes years of practice to do well. But without knowing more than a few Feng Shui rules, you can make a measurable difference in your life.

In Feng Shui, clutter represents the stubborn residue of life. The inability to declutter is often my clients' biggest barrier to moving ahead and finding success.

If you have trouble parting with 'good' stuff, sentimental stuff, old stuff, or whatever stuff is weighing you down, I can help you get past the hurdle. Book a mentoring session here or check out details here. I'd love to work with you and know you'll be excited about the results.

Move any item that blocks doors or drawers from fully opening (e.g., boxes, a piece of furniture, miscellaneous items shoved behind a door, an item that always snags when you open a drawer). These energy vampires block and frustrate your life. Fix them!

Move the primary chair or sofa to face the door or placed at a right angle to the door so you can easily see who's coming and going. Avoid straight alignment with the door. Make sure the door opens away from you.

Move your bed's headboard to face the door or placed at a right angle so you can easily see who's coming and going. Avoid straight alignment with the door opening. Make sure the door opens away from you.

Light represents the energizing, revitalizing power of the sun. Too little can depress, too much can overwhelm.

  • Open blinds and curtains to bring natural light into dark rooms
  • Soften glaring light by using translucent curtains, partially closed blinds or shades.
  • In the evening, use area lamps instead of ceiling lights for a feeling of more calm and harmony.
